Anne TARVER
British Association for Local History
Initially I trained as a teacher and subsequently worked as a Cartographer and Map Curator at Loughborough University. I gained an MA in Local and Regional History from Nottingham University and a PhD from Warwick for work on the Church Courts of Lichfield. I went on to write a book on Church Court Records, and Iam at present working on a history of Leicestershire and Rutland. I have written a number of articles for local history journals and taught many courses for Local and Family History Groups in the north midlands for the WEA, also participating in Day Schools for Staffordshire Archives. I acted as Chairman of the Association of Local History Tutors until their merger with BALH in 2009, where I currently serve on the Management and Events Committees.
