John Hanson
A retired systems specialist, his main interest is in the use of computers for family history and in particular the uses that the internet can be put to as an aid in research. He now lecturers on family history, writes for several of the genealogical magazines and also teaches the subject locally in Milton Keynes. As a member of the Society of Genealogists for many years he has served on most of the committees and as a Trustee.
The data manager for The Halsted Trust, he is also a member of the Guild of One-Name Studies and was made a Fellow of the Society of Genealogists in 2005.
