Jeff JAMES
The National Archives
Jeff James, Director of Public Services is responsible for the delivery and development of onsite, online and remote services to the public and schools.  He is also responsible for managing customer relations and maintaining service excellence at The National Archives.
Prior to joining The National Archives as Head of Advice and Records Knowledge in July 2007, Jeff had considerable operational, change and IT experience in both the private and public sector. Initially a Royal Navy submariner, Jeff worked in the university sector, in Market Research and more recently at the British Library. At the British Library he lead teams of up to 600 staff across 5 sites with responsibility for frontline customer services (including the flagship Reading Rooms in London) & commercial services (including the British Library’s £15m document supply business; reprographics and Newspaper operations).
