Where was your ancestor a freemason?

As Freemasonry expanded as a membership organisation from the 18th century, Lodges formed throughout England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and overseas. This presentation aims to introduce how to find Lodge locations using Lane’s Masonic Records, an on-line resource listing all pre-1894 Lodges formed under the United Grand Lodge of England and Wales and its predecessor bodies. Examples of how to find and locate travelling or military Lodges will be included. References to Draffen’s Scottish, and Crossle’s Irish, Masonic Records will be made, and an update on Lane’s, which will include details for all UGLE Lodges and Chapters, provided.
