Researching family spaces and places: the role of the National Monuments Record in family and local history research
The National Monuments Record (NMR) houses English Heritage’s archive and records collection. Over the past five years, we have established a programme of work to make a large proportion of this information freely accessible online. In this talk, I will explore the wealth of information that is available through the NMR’s various online offerings and provide a practical demonstration of how this information can be useful to family and local historians.
