Theresa Doherty
The Women’s Library
Teresa Doherty, is currently the Archive and Museum Manager at The Women's Library, London Metropolitan University. Teresa qualified as an archivist in 1992. She has worked at a range of archive offices including Wellcome Library, Transport for London, Guildhall Manuscripts, and Hammersmith & Fulham Archives.

Teresa has a particular interest in how to make online catalogues more appealing to the average researcher and in making access to archives easier and more enjoyable. This includes an active interest in the development of archival standards, for which she has been on several committees. She has been known to become very excited at the use of words such as ‘interoperability’ but is happy to be physically removed from the computer in order to look at good old fashioned ‘stuff’ that can be found in the archives.
